A New Twist on the Traditional Turkey Meal @eatWholly @SwitchtoTurkey

I have to admit that I am really only a turkey eater on Thanksgiving, when I spend my day creating a homemade masterpiece.  I have tried ground turkey in a few dishes but I guess I am just stuck on traditional turkey.  When I was offered a chance to try out some Jenny-O creations I thought it would be a good way to break my "turkey stereotype".

Wholly Guacamole and Jenny-O sent me a fun package with coupons, recipes, and some other promotional goodies so that I could create a meal and share it with you!  Of course, when it comes to turkey I have no idea what to do besides roast it on the oven.  The Jenny-O website has a ton of recipes to try and I chose the Jalapeno Jack Turkey Burger  recipe.  It looked good and healthy.  Plus it has guacamole and an awesome salsa mixture on it.  Very good.

As you can see, my ingredients are simple, natural, and healthy.  The directions were pretty easy.  Basically I broiled the burgers (will try the grill next time), warmed up the salsa mixture, and put everything together.

The guacamole and salsa mixture really added an extra oomph to the burger.  My whole family loved the burgers, even my finicky two year old.  I will definitely make this again soon.  The only thing I did different was add some muenster cheese to the burgers.  Since this recipe was so good, I am looking forward to adding some other turkey recipes to our dinner roster.

Right now you can only find the Jalepeno Jack Turkey Burgers at Wal-Mart (until the end of March).  They are in the frozen section.  I spent about 10 minutes looking in the refrigerated section before I asked an employee for help.  He told me they quit carrying the patties for a while and received so many calls asking about them that they were brought back into stock.  They must be good!!!

Like what you see?  Here is your chance to WIN the prize package shown above and create your own yummy turkey burgers!

This is Everything you NEED for the BIG Game with Zatarain's #Cravebowl Cravebox!!!

Superbowl Sunday is almost here!  It is a perfect time to get together with friends for some rowdy fun.  While I am not a hardcore football fan, I DO watch the Superbowl every year and party it up!  I love to have friends over (we have a 61" TV), eat a lot of food, and have a few beers.  This year my prep work will be a bit easier thanks to Cravebox!

What is Cravebox?  Cravebox is a fun product discovery service that sends you themed boxes of goodies to try out.  It is relatively cheap at only $12-$18 per box.  You are selected to receive a box through a lottery type drawing.  When you sign up for the service you can look at the upcoming boxes and choose which ones that you want a notification e-mail to opt in.  So you are only charged for the boxes you sign up and are chosen for.   They do a ton of different themes such as a Dog Lovers Box, a Beauty Box, a Healthy Eating Box and more!  I have been a member since they first started up and love receiving a box every time.  It has an element of surprise since you don't know exactly what you are getting until your box arrives (unless you stalk the Facebook page for other people to post pics!).  I sign up for a lot of freebies and promo items but Cravebox is one service that I pay for because I have been very pleased with all of my boxes and the selection of items.  Plus, the customer service is WONDERFUL!

The current box that I am promoting to all of my readers is the Zatarain's Big Game Cravebox.  It is a Big Game themed box New Orleans style - hence Zatarain's being the main sponsor.  This particular box is perfect for a party and only costs $15.  Even better, those selected for this box will get a DOUBLE SIZED BOX at the SAME PRICE!  That is great if you are having a larger get together for the game!  This box will include several food related products, beverages, and recipes for your party.  There will also be contests with this Cravebox that you can participate in and win more products!  Your credit card will only be charged if you are selected for the box and will arrive about 7 days after being charged.  This is plenty of time to prepare before the game!  Check out all of the details here.

As an added bonus, one person who is selected to receive this Cravebox will also win this spread shown below:

I wouldn't mind getting this!  All of my food and decorations would be taken care of!

You can help spread the word too!  Tomorrow night (1/15/2013) Cravebox and Zatarain's are having a Twitter party at 9pm EASTERN time.  Join in on the fun and a chance to win prizes with the Hashtag #Cravebowl.  I lover twitter parties!  Leave me a comment with your Twitter Username so I can follow you :-)

I would love to hear if you sign up for this box and what you think of the service.  Hopefully you love it as much as I do!

**DISCLAIMER - I will receive a free Cravebox as part of this promotional program.  All opinions are my own.  Thanks**
