A New Twist on the Traditional Turkey Meal @eatWholly @SwitchtoTurkey

I have to admit that I am really only a turkey eater on Thanksgiving, when I spend my day creating a homemade masterpiece.  I have tried ground turkey in a few dishes but I guess I am just stuck on traditional turkey.  When I was offered a chance to try out some Jenny-O creations I thought it would be a good way to break my "turkey stereotype".

Wholly Guacamole and Jenny-O sent me a fun package with coupons, recipes, and some other promotional goodies so that I could create a meal and share it with you!  Of course, when it comes to turkey I have no idea what to do besides roast it on the oven.  The Jenny-O website has a ton of recipes to try and I chose the Jalapeno Jack Turkey Burger  recipe.  It looked good and healthy.  Plus it has guacamole and an awesome salsa mixture on it.  Very good.

As you can see, my ingredients are simple, natural, and healthy.  The directions were pretty easy.  Basically I broiled the burgers (will try the grill next time), warmed up the salsa mixture, and put everything together.

The guacamole and salsa mixture really added an extra oomph to the burger.  My whole family loved the burgers, even my finicky two year old.  I will definitely make this again soon.  The only thing I did different was add some muenster cheese to the burgers.  Since this recipe was so good, I am looking forward to adding some other turkey recipes to our dinner roster.

Right now you can only find the Jalepeno Jack Turkey Burgers at Wal-Mart (until the end of March).  They are in the frozen section.  I spent about 10 minutes looking in the refrigerated section before I asked an employee for help.  He told me they quit carrying the patties for a while and received so many calls asking about them that they were brought back into stock.  They must be good!!!

Like what you see?  Here is your chance to WIN the prize package shown above and create your own yummy turkey burgers!

  15. I'm impressed, I have to admit. Rarely do I encounter a blog that's both educative and engaging, and let me tell you, you've hit the nail on the head. The issue is something which not enough men and women are speaking intelligently about. Now i'm very happy I
stumbled across this during my hunt for something relating to
    this.
