Organize your Recyclables with The Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler - Review and GIVEAWAY!

I LOVE to recycle and can sometimes be a Nazi about it in my household.  If it can be re-used, I use it.  If it can't be re-used, I recycle it.  It makes me feel good knowing that I am taking positive steps to ensure less trash in a landfill.  So many items can be recycled and re-purposed.  If every person did his/her part to take small steps in maintaining a healthy Earth, we would be much better off as a collective unit.

Recycling is one of the easiest steps you can take to a greener life.  And the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler makes it even EASIER!  I was recently sent one of these cool contraptions to try out and share my opinion.

What makes the Rubbermaid Hidden Recycler different?
Well, for one - the bag itself is made from recyclable materials AND is recyclable itself.  Pretty cool.

And it fits right under your sink in a cabinet.  You can attach it by over-the-door hooks or screw it right in.  I have it latched with the over the door hooks but I think I am going to screw it in for a more compact fit.  I also have child proof locks on my kitchen cabinets so having two latches plus a lock makes my cupboard door stick out a bit (but it is still closed).

The head of the bag is also big enough to fit a milk jug.  This is very important!  If you have ever used a trash can that won't fit a milk jug, you know what I mean!  The bag itself is five gallons which equivilently holds 26 uncrushed pop cans.  Pretty good size!  I am pleased with the amount it can hold.  I only have to empty it every few days.

Hidden Recycler can fit a milk jug

The bag has a LEAK PROOF liner and is MACHINE WASHABLE.  Easy peasy!  Plus it has a handle for easy transportation from the kitchen to the "main" recycling bin.

Check out Rubbermaid's "Adventures in Organization" blog for great tips and hints for keeping your house under control (organized chaos???)

Want to get one of these for yourself?  You can buy directly online through Rubbermaid or at Meijer stores.  The suggested retail price is $15.99.

And, Rubbermaid was awesome enough to not only send me a Hidden Recycler to review, but also is going to one one to a LUCKY READER of my blog!  Just fill out the required information to be entered.  Good luck!
